wordsandlyrics:

So you just had a break-up. I know how it feels, I’ve been there. No matter what advice your friends throw you, the idea of simply moving on seems impossible.

But should you take this advice for granted. Well, you shouldn’t. Here, I listed 10 songs you should have in your break-up playlist because admit it, we are all guilty of playing mellow songs screaming of desperation and melancholy. It is just wrong, it won’t help you. Believe me. So get up from your slumber and listen to these:

1. Goodbye To You by Michelle Branch [Music Video]

It hurts to want everything & nothing at the same time
I want what’s yours and I want what’s mine
I want you but I’m not giving in this time

Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything I thought I knew
You were the one I loved
The one thing that I tried to hold on to

For me, Goodbye To You is a beautifully written song. I consider this a happy song ,actually. It describes a person that was once blinded but now had seen the truth amidst the lies.

2. King of Anything by Sara Bareilles [Music Video]

All my life I’ve tried to make everybody happy
While I just hurt and hide
Waiting for someone to tell me it’s my turn to decide

Who cares if you disagree?
You are not me
Who made you king of anything?
So you dare tell me who to be?
Who died and made you king of anything?

Communication is very important in a relationship. If you had been into a relationship that shuts you up, you had been into a wrong one. Now it’s time for you to be heard.
